Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham are all involved in the exhaustive list of players who could be starring for the Three Lions in the future. Players such as Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish are not in the 35 as they have made an impact already.

Here are the youngsters who could be the heroes of the next decade…

35) Matt Targett, Southampton, 19-years-old

He has already played for the Saints when Ryan Bertrand was sidelined with injury, and looks set to follow in the footsteps of other top class left-backs from the South coast such as Gareth Bale and Luke Shaw.

34) Gedion Zelalem, Arsenal, 18-years-old

Made his debut for the Gunners when just 16, and looks set to be the next bright young thing to make an impact at the Emirates.

33) Tammy Abraham, Chelsea, 17-years-old

He scored twice as the Blues’ Under 18’s side beat their Manchester City counterparts in the FA Youth Cup final, and could be the first home grown player to become a regular at Stamford Bridge since John Terry.

32) Harrison Reed, Southampton, 20-years-old

Made the experienced Gareth Barry look second rate during the Saints’ 3-0 win over Everton earlier in the season, and just happens to be exactly what England need in a defensive midfielder at the moment.

31) Lewis Cook, Leeds, 18-years-old

Although things aren’t going too well at Elland Road at the moment, one bright spark has been the midfielder. Could he be on the way to the Premier League soon?

The left-winger has been training with the first team at the Etihad, and is one of the first graduates from their much talked about new academy.

The League One Apprentice of the Year is just the latest from a youth set up at Crewe that has delivered many exciting prospects.

28) Nathaniel Chalobah, Chelsea, 20-years-old

A series of loans in the Championship have given the youngster senior experience, the only question is whether he will fulfil his promise at Stamford Bridge or elsewhere.

27) Will Wood, Southampton, 18-years-old

The centre-back is yet another example of the great academy at St. Mary’s. He recently helped the Under 21’s side to lift their Premier League trophy.

26) Chuba Akpom, Arsenal, 19-years-old

There was much furore over whether the striker was going to sign a new contract, and that was for a reason. He has now committed to the Gunners, and is on loan at Nottingham Forest.

25) Sulley Kaikai, Crystal Palace, 19-years-old

Has already scored for the senior side in the League Cup, and has since gone out on loan to Cambridge United. He will be hoping to not follow in the footsteps of Wilfried Zaha and fail at a big club.

24) Will Hughes, Derby, 20-years-old

It is surprising that the midfielder is yet to make a move to the top flight, but if the Rams don’t get promoted this season then he could finally leave.

23) Zach Clough, Bolton, 20-years-old

The youngster was brilliant against Liverpool earlier in the season, and looks able to play at the highest level.

Highly rated by manager Jose Mourinho, who has already said that the youngster will be getting playing time next season. Bayern Munich have even made an enquiry for the player according to the Telegraph.

19) Tyias Browning, Everton, 20-years-old

Impressed against Liverpool and Manchester United at right-back earlier in the season, but eventually looks set to partner John Stones at the centre of the Toffees’ defence.

18) Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Aston Villa, 16-years-old

Made his debut against Sunderland recently, and has a manager willing to trust in youth in Tim Sherwood. The striker could follow Jack Grealish in to the first team.

17) Oliver Shenton, Stoke, 17-years-old

Played against Manchester City back in February, and looks set for big things with the Potters.

16) Ben Gibson, Middlesbrough, 22-years-old

Plays alongside Jonathan Woodgate at centre-back for Aitor Karanka’s side, and seems to be learning quickly from the former Real Madrid ace.

15) Sheyi Ojo, Liverpool, 17-years-old

Currently on loan at Wigan, the winger could be the next gem unearthed by Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.

14) Liam Walsh, Everton, 17-years-old

Signed a new deal at Goodison Park in March, and has been namechecked by manager Roberto Martinez as one of the reasons he may not sign Tom Cleverley according to the Daily Express.

13) Patrick Bamford, Chelsea, 21-years-old

Recently named the Championship player of the season, and has scored 17 goals this campaign. Another who may have to leave Chelsea to have real progress though.

12) Adam Armstrong, Newcastle United, 18-years-old

Regularly on the bench at St. James’ Park, the youngster may need to go to a club that isn’t in such disarray if he wants to fulfil his undoubted talent.

11) Jack Dunn, Liverpool, 20-years-old

Has been on several loans, but the Reds are still interested in the youngster for the first team. A potential future Steven Gerrard in midfield?

10) Tosin Adarabioyo, Manchester City, 17-years-old

Has captained the Under 18’s side since he was 16, and could be one of the first home grown youngsters to break in to the Citizens’ team.

9) Sam Gallagher, Southampton, 19-years-old

A regular for the Saints towards the end of the last season, but has seen his game time dwindle this time round. However, the striker is still set for a big future.

8) Kieran Dowell, Everton, 17-years-old

Another player the Toffees tied down to a new deal in March, the youngster also made his debut in the Europa League this season. With Martinez keen to blood youngsters he could get a chance in the Premier League before long.

Has already made his Champions League debut, and may get a chance against Arsenal next weekend due to the Blues’ injury problems.

6) Cameron Carter-Vickers, Tottenham, 17-years-old

Jurgen Klinsmann is apparently rushing the centre-back through the USA age groups, and Spurs may be using him before long.

5) Joe Gomez, Charlton Athletic, 17-years-old

Enjoying a breakthrough season with the second tier side, the defender can play at either right-back or centre-back.

4) Reece Oxford, West Ham, 16-years-old

Apparently the teenager could be pushing for the first team as early as next season. The Hammers have already had to beat Chelsea and Manchester United to keep hold of him.

The centre-mid has been an important part of the Tractor Boys’ push for promotion to the Premier League, and apparently Arsenal have taken notice.

2) Nathan Redmond, Norwich City, 21-years-old

The winger didn’t embarrass himself when he played in the Premier League last season, and has continued that form in the Championship. If the Canaries don’t go straight back up he may end up getting back in the top flight with another club.

1) Alex Pritchard, Tottenham, 21-years-old

An important part of Brentford’s promotion challenge this campaign, he could return to White Hart Lane and play in the same manner as Ryan Mason did earlier in the season.
