The Italian tactician is unsettled at the Bernabeu at the moment, with the Champions League title needed this season to guarantee his future beyond this campaign.

The former Chelsea boss is now seemingly ready to walk away from Real even if they do lift the trophy for a second reason running, with the lure of another spell in the Premier League a tempting one, according to The Sun.

Ancelotti spent two seasons at Stamford Bridge earlier in his career, winning the double in his first year in charge, and he has a proven record of success at every club he’s been with that makes him a tempting candidate for City as they consider Manuel Pellegrini’s future after a disappointing season.

Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola remains a priority, though he is unlikely to move this summer.
