The Red Devils are concerned about losing their goalkeeper, with the Spanish international believed to be a top transfer target for La Liga giants Real Madrid ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been in outstanding form in the Premier League this season, emerging as one of United’s best players overall, and this new contract offer certainly looks like matching his tremendous contribution to the side and growing importance to the team.

According to the Daily Star, this new deal would make de Gea one of the most highly paid goalkeepers in the world alongside Bayern Munich and Germany star Manuel Neuer.

It remains to be seen if this will be enough to keep the talented shot-stopper at Old Trafford as Real continue to show a strong interest in the player.
