Reports suggest that the club will look to improve their options at that end of the pitch in a bid to catch up with champions-elect Chelsea, who look closer and closer to taking the club’s Premier League title away this season.

Although City have also struggled defensively, they seem to feel their scoring twenty goals less than last year has been the main cause of their decline, with these changes expected to be made to solve the issue:

Out – Edin Dzeko

A real disappointment this season, Edin Dzeko has suffered a major dip in form and may now be allowed to leave City in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Out – Stevan Jovetic

A failed signing from last season, Stevan Jovetic does not look like fulfilling his potential at the Etihad Stadium and could head to Inter Milan this summer.

In – Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

Coming in could be Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling, who has had another excellent season at Anfield, looking like one of the best young players in Europe.

In – Jay Rodriguez (Southampton)

Despite his injury problems at Southampton, Jay Rodriguez is another highly rated English talent wanted by City in the next transfer window.

In – Danny Ings (Burnley)

Promising young Burnley striker Danny Ings is also being considered by the Premier League champions as they look to revamp their attacking options.

In – Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg)

Finally, the Daily Mirror reports that City are also looking into signing former Chelsea playmaker Kevin De Bruyne from Wolfsburg.
