Attacking players are clearly a priority for the Reds, with mainly attacking midfielders and strikers linked with the club in this latest revelation.

The five stars Liverpool are looking to bring to Anfield this summer are as follows:

1) Memphis Depay (PSV)

An exciting young winger at PSV, Memphis Depay has impressed a host of top clubs with his performances in the Eredivisie this season, and is one of Liverpool’s priorities as they look to bring in the quality to replace Luis Suarez and improve on flops like Mario Balotelli.

2) Christian Benteke (Aston Villa)

Another superb striker, Aston Villa front-man Christian Benteke is one of the Reds’ main targets in attack, having continued a rich vein of form with a goal against the club in their recent FA Cup semi-final clash.

3) Danny Ings (Burnley)

A bright English prospect, Danny Ings has had a fine season for Burnley this year and could now be heading to Liverpool in the summer as part of a reshuffle upfront by Brendan Rodgers.

4) Denis Cheryshev (Real Madrid)

A talented winger catching the eye on loan from Real Madrid at Villarreal, Denis Cheryshev has come onto Liverpool’s radar in recent times.

5) James Milner (Manchester City)

Finally, Liverpool could raid their rivals Manchester City for the free transfer of England midfielder James Milner, who would help replace the departing Steven Gerrard.
