The 29-year-old’s season-long loan at Old Trafford is set to expire in the next few weeks, and it seems increasingly likely that he will neither be staying put with the Red Devils beyond the summer or playing for parent club AS Monaco next season.

According to Fichajes, Sevilla are the latest club interested in acquiring the forward’s signature, and a deal could be wrapped up sooner rather than later, with Falcao eager for Monaco to consider a bid from Los Rojiblancos.

The report claims that the Colombia international has accepted that he won’t be playing at Manchester United or Monaco next season and, given his familiarity with the Spanish league following his two seasons with Atletico Madrid, is keen on a return to La Liga.

Falcao has struggled to adapt to England’s top flight – scoring just four Premier League goals all season – and is poised to walk away from his frustration in Manchester.
