Although it is a tough task for anyone to do the incredible job Ronaldo does for the Spanish giants, these six seem the only realistic bets as players who could go some way to replicating that kind of quality upfront…

1) Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

The best player in the Premier League this season, Eden Hazard has been world class for Chelsea in their title win. The Belgian international has been linked several times with a move to Real Madrid, and may become even more of a priority target for the club if they do end up losing Ronaldo this summer.

2) Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

The Premier League’s top scorer, Sergio Aguero is definitely a Galactico-style player, showing world class scoring ability and real flair. The Argentine has been linked with Real several times and also starred in Spain with former club Atletico Madrid.

3) Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

A controversial choice given his ties with Barcelona, but Alexis Sanchez is another truly world class attacking player who has done brilliantly to score as many goals as he has for Arsenal this season. There’s no doubt he could do even more damage in a star-studded Real Madrid side.

4) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)

One of the best players in the world not currently at an elite club, Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund is a player expected to move this summer and one who has been strongly linked with Real in the past. Although not as much of a goalscorer as Ronaldo, the German international has the quality to fill that void in attack.

5) Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)

A superb predatory player who relishes the big games, Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller is a big name who would fit in well at the Bernabeu, though it is hard to imagine why his club would ever consider selling him.

6) Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid)

With 25 goals from out wide this season, Atletico Madrid winger Antoine Griezmann is a similar style of goalscoring winger to Ronaldo, and it may be that he’d score even more if he played in a better, more attack-minded side, though Chelsea are also interested in the Frenchman.
