The Red Devils could land themselves an instant replacement from the Spanish giants if they accept a swap deal involving Costa Rica international shot-stopper Keylor Navas.

The former Levante man caught the eye in La Liga last season prior to his move to the Bernabeu, where he has struggled for regular playing time due to the presence of Iker Casillas.

A move for de Gea would likely spell the end of his time with the club, meaning he is now being offered to United in what could be a good move for Louis van Gaal’s side, according to reports in the Daily Express.

Navas’ quality was also on display at last summer’s World Cup and it may be that he would relish the chance to be number one at an elite European club side.
