GK: Asmir Begovic (Stoke City)

Helping Stoke to a 9th place finish, Asmir Begovic has shown himself to be one of the finest goalkeepers in England once again this season.

DR: Daryl Janmaat (Newcastle United)

An impressive debut campaign from the Newcastle right-back, who looks a strong defender and good going forward despite the Magpies’ poor season overall.

DL: Leighton Baines (Everton)

Not the best season for Everton, but Leighton Baines has once again been excellent for Roberto Martinez’s side, registering two goals and nine assists in the league.

DC: John Terry (Chelsea)

Back to his very best for Chelsea this season, John Terry gets the nod from a Blues squad full of quality after being so key to their strong defensive displays.

DC: Jose Fonte (Southampton)

Perhaps the pick of the bunch from Southampton, Jose Fonte has had an excellent season in defence for the Saints and is a hugely underrated Premier League star.

MC: Fabian Delph (Aston Villa)

Despite Aston Villa’s poor season, Fabian Delph has been immense in midfield for the club and for the England national team, becoming a regular in Roy Hodgson’s plans. Plus he may yet end with an FA Cup winners’ medal.

MC: Ander Herrera (Manchester United)

One of the signings of the summer, Ander Herrera has done brilliantly in Manchester United’s midfield and looks exactly what they’ve needed in that department for some time.

MR: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

One of the stars of the season since joining Arsenal from Barcelona, Alexis Sanchez has been a superb goalscorer from out wide and a stand-out performer for the Gunners.

ML: Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

Surely Liverpool’s best player, Philippe Coutinho has been a joy to watch this season even if the Reds have not been good enough overall.

FC: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

The Premier League’s Golden Boot winner, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been world class again this season for the runners-up.

FC: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

A wonderful breakthrough performer, Tottenham youngster Harry Kane has been in sensational goalscoring form this season and deserves his place in this lineup.
