7) Glazer family (Manchester United) – £2.86bn

Despite their epic spending spree last summer, Manchester United’s owners are not that high up on the list of richest Premier League club chiefs, with the Glazer family worth an estimated £2.86bn.

6) Katharina Liebherr (Southampton) – £3bn

Next up is Southampton owener Katharina Liebherr, who has brought the club plenty of success since taking over, even if they haven’t spent a great deal that wasn’t already brought in from player sales.

5) Joe Lewis (Tottenham Hotspur) – £3.12bn

A quiet figure at Tottenham, but Joe Lewis is still one of the wealthiest of Premier League owners at the moment, worth an estimated £3.12bn.

4) Mike Ashley (Newcastle United) – £3.18bn

A hugely unpopular owner at Newcastle United, Mike Ashley might want to invest more of his £3.18bn wealth into the team instead of using the club as a profit-making tool for himself.

3) Stan Kroenke (Arsenal) – £3.77bn

As high as third, Stan Kroenke is not strictly speaking Arsenal’s owner, but the majority shareholder of the Gunners is worth a cool £3.77bn, though many fans feel he is another who could do more to invest in the team.

2) Roman Abramovich (Chelsea) – £5.85bn

Only in second, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is perhaps the most famous football club owner in Europe, splashing out billions to make Chelsea one of the world’s most successful football clubs in the last decade. The Russian is worth £5.85bn in all.

1) Sheikh Mansour (Manchester City) – £20bn

Miles in front, however, is Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour, who is worth an incredible £20bn due to his ownership of so many successful businesses, with City and their MLS franchise New York City just two of his ventures.
