2015/16 Champions League Group Stages already drawn

The Group Stages for the 2015-16 CONCACAF Champions League have been drawn this evening in Miami.

Holders Club America are in Group E along wirth CD Walter Ferretti and CD Motugua. Last season’s play-off runners up and this season’s regular season winners Tigres UANL are in Group B with Isidro Metapan and Herediano. Herediano made in to the semi finals this season.

The MLS are represented by LA Galaxy (who are in Group D with Communicaciones and Central), Real Salt Lake (Group G), DC United (Group H), and Seattle Sounders (Group F).

This season’s competition will kick off in mid August.

There are only three teams per group, and only one team from each Group will progress to the quarter finals in the new year.

Mexico are the must successful country, winning the title 32 times. Sides from the MLS have won it twice.

America beat Montreal Impact 5-3 on aggregate in this year’s final.
