Arsenal transfer rumours

1) Alexis Sanchez/Gonzalo Higuain (Arsenal)

With Arsenal chasing the signing of Napoli front-man Gonzalo Higuain this summer, there’s the potential for an immense attacking lineup at the Emirates Stadium next season, with Alexis Sanchez likely to be the perfect foil for the Argentine goal-poacher.

2) Wayne Rooney/Karim Benzema (Manchester United)

With Manchester United possibly set to spend big again this summer, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is one of many names linked to the club. The Frenchman is a terrific goalscorer on his day and would surely fit in well at Old Trafford, particularly with Wayne Rooney playing a deeper role these days and having the creativity to pick out a runner and poacher like the former Lyon man.

3) Daniel Sturridge/Alexandre Lacazette (Liverpool)

If Liverpool can keep Daniel Sturridge fit next season, the potential addition of Lyon starlet Alexandre Lacazette gives them a very fearful looking lineup up front. Both are highly prolific at their best and could prove to be just as deadly as Sturridge and Luis Suarez were for the Reds last season.

4) Sergio Aguero/Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)

With Manchester City desperate to land Liverpool rebel Raheem Sterling this summer, the England youngster could be an ideal partner for Sergio Aguero at the Etihad Stadium. The 20-year-old has often looked at his best playing as a striker, and there’s no doubt he’d score a bucketful with Aguero alongside him, plus the likes of David Silva and Yaya Toure behind.

5) Harry Kane/Christian Benteke (Tottenham Hotspur)

With Tottenham lining up a £20m bid to sign Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke, the Belgian powerhouse could be joining this season’s young star Harry Kane in an extremely promising attack. Both players are strong, quick and lethal goalscorers, giving Spurs potentially one of the best partnerships in the league.

6) Diego Costa/Antoine Griezmann (Chelsea)

Although not strictly a striker, Antoine Griezmann has scored 25 goals for Atletico Madrid this season and is now supposedly wanted in a big-money move by Chelsea. The Frenchman would perhaps be part of a front three at Stamford Bridge, but would be the main foil for target man Diego Costa.

7) Cristiano Ronaldo/Sergio Aguero (Real Madrid)

Although we also paired Aguero with Sterling in this piece, there has been speculation that the Argentine hot-shot is a target for Real Madrid, who could bring him in to replace Benzema. With Cristiano Ronaldo also likely to be used up front next season, Real could have an amazing attack to rival MSN at Barcelona.

8) Danny Ings/Carlos Tevez (Liverpool)

With Liverpool also targeting Carlos Tevez this summer, it may be that the Reds will have the option of four top class forward players next season. Danny Ings has already joined, and could form an interesting combination with the powerful Argentine at Anfield.
