Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is ready to spend as much as £61.5m to bring in three Premier League stars this summer as he seeks to strengthen his squad for another title challenge.

The Blues won the league comfortably in 2014/15, but new challenges will surely await next season, with some issues still there in Chelsea’s squad, particularly with doubts over the future of a number of current first-teamers, like Petr Cech and Loic Remy.

According to recent speculation, these are the three Premier League players on Mourinho’s radar to come in to Stamford Bridge this summer:

1) Charlie Austin (Queens Park Rangers)

Expected to cost around £15m, Charlie Austin had a superb season with relegated QPR this year and is now firmly on Chelsea’s list of targets up front this summer. With Didier Drogba leaving and Loic Remy possibly on his way to West Ham United, Austin seems the ideal candidate to come in and form part of this Blues squad.

2) Asmir Begovic (Stoke City)

With Petr Cech possibly joining Arsenal or Manchester United, Chelsea will want to bring in a good backup keeper, and have been linked with a move for Stoke City star Asmir Begovic, who has been one of the finest in England in recent times.

3) Christian Benteke (Aston Villa)

With Didier Drogba leaving, Chelsea could also move to sign £32.5m Aston Villa front-man Christian Benteke, who would suit the team’s style of play perfectly and give Mourinho plenty of quality options to choose from in attack.
