A look at the Premier League best XI of the decade so far, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal greats making up this star-studded side of top performers since 2010…

GK: Petr Cech

He may have lost his place this season, but Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is undoubtedly the top Premier League goalkeeper of recent times, winning the double in 2010, the Champions League in 2012 and another title this season.

DR: Branislav Ivanovic

A world class right-back, Branislav Ivanovic has been consistently superb for Chelsea in the last five years, winning two league titles and the Champions League with the Blues.

DL: Patrice Evra

Possibly just surpassing Ashley Cole in recent years, Manchester United great Patrice Evra fully deserves a spot in this XI after helping the Red Devils to so much success.

DC: John Terry

Back to his best this season, John Terry has continued to stand out as one of the best defenders in England indeed the world in the last few years.

DC: Nemanja Vidic

Despite a slight dip in his last season with the club, Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic was a huge performer for the club in their title wins of 2010/11 and 2012/13, showing his great defensive ability and eye for the odd important goal.

MC: Yaya Toure

An unstoppable midfielder at his best, Yaya Toure was in amazing form for Manchester City as they won the title in 2013/14, and also contributed hugely to their 2011/12 win, plus in their FA Cup win the previous season with winning goals in the semi-final and final.

MC: Cesc Fabregas

First at Arsenal, now at Chelsea, Cesc Fabregas may have spent three years away from the Premier League with Barcelona, but always looks one of the country’s best players when he is here, showing an eye for goal and some of the best passing in Europe.

AMR: Gareth Bale

A player who rose to prominence at the start of this decade, Gareth Bale quickly became one of the most exciting attacking players in the world and earned a world-record move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2013 after tearing Premier League defences apart for Tottenham.

AML: Eden Hazard

A superb signing since he joined in 2012, Eden Hazard is now regarded as perhaps the best player in the Premier League after his awesome displays guided Chelsea to the title this year, recoginsed with the PFA Player of the Year award.

FC: Luis Suarez

A player who joined Liverpool in 2011, it was quickly apparent what a class act Luis Suarez was, at least in terms of his ability. A controversial character with some unpleasant moments, but ultimately a world class striker with some memorable goals and match-winning performances before his £75m move to Barcelona.

FC: Robin van Persie

Narrowly in ahead of Sergio Aguero, Manchester United and Arsenal great Robin van Persie found some of his best Gunners form between 2010 and 2012 before proving a superb, if controversial, signing for the Red Devils, scoring 30 goals to help them win the league in 2013.
