Manchester United rumours

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal looks to be working on an exciting deal to sign four new players this summer, all of whom are aged 23 or under.

The Red Devils look to be building for the future with their transfers this summer, having already signed 21-year-old forward Memphis Depay from PSV, and with more top prospects set to come in.

Latest reports suggest these four players are on Van Gaal’s wish list:

1) Roberto Firmino (Hoffenheim)

Linked with a £13.1m move to Old Trafford, Hoffenheim’s Brazilian playmaker Roberto Firmino is one of the best talents in the Bundesliga at the moment, and appears to already be well on his way to United after agreeing terms with the club.

2) Raphael Varane (Real Madrid)

Also a top target for Chelsea, Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has emerged as a candidate to come in and solve United’s defensive issues next season, with the Frenchman establishing himself as one of the best young centre-backs in the world.

3) Felipe Anderson (Lazio)

Another exciting Brazilian youngster, Lazio winger Felipe Anderson, 22, has had an oustanding season in Serie A this year and is now being strongly linked with a move to United as they continue to bolster their attack.

4) Stefan de Vrij (Lazio)

Finally, United are also after Lazio’s 23-year-old Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij, who has impressed under Van Gaal for the Netherlands and who looks an ideal signing for the Reds in defence this summer.
