Goalkeeper – Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) £18m

With David De Gea seemingly likely to move to Real Madrid we see Louis van Gaal’s most likely replacement coming in the form of the White Hart Lane star.

Left-Back – Luke Shaw

Youngster’s debut season at Old Trafford was plagued with injuries and indifferent form, we predict an upturn in fortunes in 2015/16.

Centre-Back – Marcos Rojo

Argentine will be one season wiser when he starts the next Premier League campaign and is a certain starter in Louis van Gaal’s XI.

Centre-Back – Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) £30m or Part of swap deal

A move for the Bernabeu star has been talked up a great deal in recent days and could either be secured in a straight cash deal or as part of a David De Gea swap move.

Right-Back – Gregory van der Wiel (PSG) £9m

The Dutch international is now the most likely acquisition to resolve something of a problem-area in the Man United defence.

Central Midfield – Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich) £7.5m

By all accounts a move to bring in the hugely experienced German international is on the cards and could well be a deal that won’t break the bank either.

Central Midfield – Daley Blind

Versatile Dutchman worked best when used in a central defensively minded role last term.

Attacking Midfield – Wayne Rooney

Louis van Gaal has admitted he prefers using the club captain in a withdrawn role and that’s where we see him being used in 2015/16.

Left-Wing – Memphis Depay

Brought in earlier this summer in a £25m deal, the former PSV Eindhoven man looks a hot prospect to say the least.

Forward – Harry Kane (Tottenham) £40m

The White Hart Lane forward netted 31 goals last term and scored on his senior England debut and is a player Louis van Gaal is known to be interested in.

Right-Wing – Juan Mata

Spaniard has grown a great deal during van Gaal’s time at Old Trafford, netting crucial goals and providing a very effective option in the final third.
