After the amazing rise of Tottenham striker Harry Kane in 2014/15, here’s a look at six other young players who could achieve similar success if just given the chance at their clubs, including promising English talent at Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and another at Spurs…

1) James Wilson (Manchester United)

A pacey young striker who has already netted a few goals in very limited appearances for Manchester United, James Wilson is one of the best young talents on the books at Old Trafford at the moment, and could be heading for more playing time next season without Radamel Falcao in his way, and with Robin van Persie possibly heading out as well.

2) Patrick Bamford (Chelsea)

A terrific young striker who impressed on loan at Middlesbrough in 2014/15, Patrick Bamford may have a tough time getting into the Chelsea team, but could also be in luck after Didier Drogba’s exit leaves a space for a backup player in Jose Mourinho’s squad. Based on what we’ve seen so far, the skillful attacker looks another player who just deserves more of a chance.

3) James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)

A top class midfielder who is already a regular for Southampton, James Ward-Prowse has developed well and may finally be ready to make more of an impact for the Saints next season.

4) Danny Ings (Liverpool)

A player who caught the eye for relegated Burnley, Danny Ings could really shine with better players around him after completing a move to Liverpool. Still only 22 years old, the England hopeful definitely has the qualities to replicate Kane’s impact for Tottenham.

5) Tom Carroll (Tottenham)

Another young player who is highly regarded at Tottenham, Tom Carroll has been a bit of a late bloomer, but at 23 could follow in the footsteps of the likes of Kane and Ryan Mason in finally making an impact at White Hart Lane.

6) Jesse Lingard (Manchester United)

Another top talent at United, Jesse Lingard has always impressed when sent out on loan, and the 22-year-old is a skillful attacker who deserves some playing time for Van Gaal’s side.
