Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino looks set to continue making changes to his squad this summer as he tries to offload as many as six first-team players from his squad.

The Argentine tactician has already overseen the sale of Brazilian midfield flop Paulinho this summer whilst bringing in Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld from Atletico Madrid, but there could be more changes on the way, according to an article in The Sun today.

The report claims these six players could be the ones heading for the White Hart Lane exit:

1) Federico Fazio

Despite only joining Tottenham last summer, The Sun claims that Argentine defender Federico Fazio could be one of the first names out of the door this summer. After a poor season, it is little surprise that the former Sevilla man could be axed, particularly with Alderweireld’s arrival meaning even more competition for places at the back.

2) Vlad Chiriches

Another defender who has failed to impress, Vlad Chiriches is being linked with an exit after some poor form and the arrival of Alderweireld, and it makes sense for Spurs to trim down their squad and get potentially big earners off their wage bill.

3) Younes Kaboul

Yet another defensive player whose future at White Hart Lane is in doubt, Younes Kaboul was made club captain last season but has been a big disappointment in recent times, despite previously being a key figure at the north London club.

4) Benjamin Stambouli

Signed last summer and looking like being another player to make a quick exit, Benjamin Stambouli has not really settled at Tottenham in either a role in defence or defensive midfield, and it seems clear that the Frenchman no longer features in Pochettino’s plans.

5) Emmanuel Adebayor

A controversial figure, Emmanuel Adebayor has divided opinion throughout his career at the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Spurs, but it looks like he has run out of time to win fans over at Tottenham, with Harry Kane now established as the first choice up front ahead of the inconsistent Togolese front-man.

6) Roberto Soldado

Another striker flop, Roberto Soldado also lost his place last season after the superb form of youngster Kane in attack, and The Sun mentions the Spaniard as the sixth player the club are trying to offload this summer.
