As tweeted by ourselves – @caughtoffside – the Claret and Blue Army have banished the duo from their cover photo on the social media site; thus fuelling speculation that the pair are expected to be leaving Villa Park soon.
Benteke – who has a release-clause of £32.5m – has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, with reports claiming over the past two weeks that the Belgium international’s deal with the Reds is a ‘done deal‘, according to an Anfield source.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa captain Delph is set for a medical with title-contenders Manchester City today, as reported by BBC Sport, after being encouraged by former Sky Blues defender Micah Richards to accept a new challenge at the Etihad Stadium.
