Arsenal’s INCREDIBLE 2015-16 potential starting XI, featuring world-class £75m forward targets

Arsenal have signed just Chelsea’s Petr Cech so far this summer, but recently reports have been linking the north London giants with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

GK – Petr Cech

The former Chelsea keeper’s experience and leadership skills could prove pivotal for the Gunners next season, and may finally return solidity to Wenger’s back-line.

RB – Hector Bellerin

There were few better right-backs last season than the Spaniard, who may not have been expecting his rise to the Arsenal first-team to arrive so soon.

CB – Per Mertesacker

There are still significant question marks surrounding the German’s ability to lead Arsenal to domestic and European glory, yet, for now at least, he looks set to remain alongside Koscielny.

CB – Laurent Koscielny

Such have been the Frenchman’s impressive performances that Real Madrid have been credited with interest.

Arguably the most underrated centre-back in the Premier League.

LB – Kieran Gibbs

Nancho Monreal’s future is unclear in north London, which could finally see Gibbs perform consistently at left-back – if he can remain injury-free.

RCM – Francis Coquelin

The Frenchman enjoyed an excellent breakthrough Emirates campaign last term, and it looks likely he will remain the Gunners’ first-choice holding midfielder, with suggestions that Wenger won’t be entering the market for a new signing in this position.

LCM – Aaron Ramsey

After a superb 2013-14 season, injury blighted the 24-year-old’s following campaign, but the potential is certainly there for Ramsey to become one of the finest central midfielders in Europe – if given the opportunity.

AM – Mesut Ozil

With Santi Cazorla excelling in the No.10 role, the Germany international isn’t first-choice in a playmaker role – but arguably he should be.

RW – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

While the Borussia Dortmund forward is arguably most impressive as a centre-forward, the Gabon international remains dangerous in a wide role.

ST – Karim Benzema

If the Real Madrid striker arrives at the Emirates, he will surely force international team-mate Olivier Giroud out of Wenger’s starting line-up.

LW – Alexis Sanchez

The former Barcelona star’s performances last season suggest that the Chilean could play any position for the Gunners – such is his work-rate.

With the majority of his goals coming from the left, this position surely has Sanchez written all over.

This trio would certainly challenge reigning Premier League champions Chelsea’s Willian, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard.
