Spurs close to exciting double purchase.
Tottenham Hotspur look to be closing in on a superb double deal worth around £29m, with the north London outfit poised to raid their rivals Chelsea.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen to strengthen his squad for a top four assault in the 2015/16 season, and has identified these two midfielders as players who could give his side what they need to challenge the big boys…
1) Victor Moses (Chelsea)
With an £8m bid already made, Tottenham will try to lure Chelsea winger Victor Moses to White Hart Lane. The Nigerian spent last season on loan at Stoke City, and he impressed despite never really getting a look-in during his time at Stamford Bridge.

2) James McCarthy (Everton)
Also a top target for Arsenal, Tottenham have made a bid worth £21m for Everton midfielder James McCarthy, who’d be a fine alternative to Morgan Schneiderlin. With £12m offered in cash, Spurs have also thrown in £9m-rated winger Aaron Lennon in as part of the deal.
