10. Sven Bender (Borussia Dortmund)

Arsene Wenger would do well to bring in a defensive midfielder and not count on Francis Coquelin repeating his marvelous form of 2014/15 and German intenational Sven Bender may be a sensible option to consider.

9. Pedro (Barcelona)

A move for the 27-year-old attacker would be higher up this list but for the fact that Arsene Wenger has a fair few players similar to the Spanish international.

8. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund)

Lanky Gabon international could be considered an alternative to Olivier Giroud and having proven himself in the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 a move to the Emirates Stadium has been hinted at.

7. Faouzi Ghoulam (Napoli)

Algerian international has been strongly linked with a move to the north London side where the Serie A left-back could offer Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal a real run for their money.

6. William Carvalho (Sporting Lisbon)

Having seen Morgan Schneiderlin leave for Man United it is perhaps the Portuguese international who would represent the best available rangy midfielder option for Wenger to pursue.

5. Edin Dzeko (Man City)

Bosnian has proven himself at Premier League level and could be a cost-effective forward purchase to keep Olivier Giroud on his toes.

4. Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)

26-year-old German international is said to be a £50m Arsenal target and the cultured forward could be a superb capture for Arsene Wenger to pull off with the aid of his massive transfer war-chest.

3. Sergi Samper (Barcelona)

£10m rated Nou Camp starlet is said to be on the Gunners radar and could be a real long term gem for Arsene Wenger to mould.

2. Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

Arsenal are apparently ready to offer £35m for the French international though Real Madrid are adamant they won’t sell and as such, this could prove a tricky nut to crack.

1. Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)

With Benzema perhaps a bridge too far a move for Serie A star Higuain is the best possible option for Arsene Wenger to land this summer. The 27-year-old Argentine has been a prolific marksman in Spain and Italy and with his Naples side failing to secure a Champions League berth there is every chance a big money offer would be accepted by the San Paolo side.
