With Louis van Gaal looking like missing out on the chance of bringing Sergio Ramos to Man Utd this summer, here’s a look at five other realistic targets from Real Madrid as the Reds look to sort out a swap deal involving David de Gea.
1) Isco
With Angel Di Maria leaving, United could certainly do with a creative and skillful midfielder like Isco in their attack, and there has been speculation that the Spanish international could be available for the right price this summer, with Chelsea and Manchester City also interested.

2) Karim Benzema
Linked strongly with Arsenal, United should try their luck in landing world class French striker Karim Benzema from Madrid in any swap deal for De Gea, with the Red Devils in dire need of more options up front.
3) Raphael Varane
Instead of Ramos, United could go after another talented defender in Raphael Varane. The French youngster has his best years ahead of him and would be a great fit at Old Trafford, though Chelsea are also big fans of his.
4) Keylor Navas
With a goalkeeper perhaps still a priority, United should also consider trying a straight swap for Keylor Navas, who is a top talent but not guaranteed the number one spot at the Bernabeu this season after the club signed Kiko Casilla.
5) Fabio Coentrao
With some doubts over Luke Shaw and Daley Blind, United should also try to bring in Portuguese international Fabio Coentrao at left-back, having tried to sign the player before.
