Top five Manchester United shirts REVEALED, new kit makes it in to third!

Manchester United have revealed their new kit for the upcoming season, and it looks to be one of their best.

Stripes on either shoulder give a retro feel to the jersey, and manager Louis van Gaal will be hoping it spurs his side on to better things. That’s not to mention the unbelievable £750 million that they are receiving for their new 10-year deal with Adidas which should help with buying new players.

However, how does it rank against their shirts through the years?

5) 1990-92 Away kit

Maybe a bit ‘marmite’, but the away strip saw the Red Devils win their first ever League Cup in 1992. It also doesn’t look that different from what a lot of people call a jumper these days.

4) 2002-04 Home kit

The last time United won the FA Cup was in this shirt, and it nicely encompasses the black, white, and red in one jersey.

3) 2015-16 Home kit

Similar to their strips of the 1980s, could this iteration be more successful than those shirts?

2) 1960s Home kit

Wasn’t it always better in the old days? Before sponsors and styles teams would just wear their colours, and some classic shirts came of it.

The last time Adidas created the United shirt it wasn’t bad either, with this great jersey being made. Coupled with no. 5, it was just a brilliant year for the Red Devils.
