Manchester United are interested in a big-money double swoop to improve their front line.
The Red Devils have already signed Memphis Depay to bolster the area, but with the departures of Robin van Persie, Nani, Radamel Falcao, and Angel Di Maria, more will need to be done if they are going to improve on their fourth place finish from last season.
It seems that Louis van Gaal knows this, and is close to a £22 million deal for Barcelona star Pedro according to the Daily Mail. Able to play on either wing and the perfect replacement for Di Maria, the 27-year-old has been shut out of the starting XI at the Nou Camp by Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar.
However, United may have to wait until after the UEFA Super Cup to sign the Spain international. Manager Luis Enrique needs the winger to play until then, with Messi and Neymar not fully fit after the Copa America.
The Red Devils aren’t finished there though…

United are also linked to a £50 million move for Vfl Wolfsburg ace Kevin De Bruyne [Daily Star]. The Belgium international has only been with the Bundesliga side for 18 months, but has impressed greatly in that time.
Chelsea allowed the forward to leave the club in Jose Mourinho’s first season, but after a campaign in which he scored 10 goals and managed 20 assists in 34 league matches he is being linked back to the Premier League.
Coupled with Pedro, the 24-year-old could form part of a great attack with Wayne Rooney and Memphis Depay also featuring. Would this front line be able to challenge Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester City for the Premier League title?
