Manchester United close in on £58.5m trio, including Arsenal target, De Gea replacement & World Cup winner

United poised to bring in £58.5m trio before the end of the summer.

Manchester United are close to sealing three more summer signings in the final weeks of the transfer window, with Louis van Gaal continuing his big-spending habits at Old Trafford.

Reports today suggest three big names are on their way to the club, with United also letting David de Gea leave for Real Madrid to continue the big changes made to the squad.

The three targets are as follows:

1) Jasper Cillessen (Ajax)

In a £20m move, United look set to sign Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen as a replacement for David de Gea, with the Dutch international emerging as Van Gaal’s first choice in that position.

2) Lucas Biglia (Lazio)

Yet another signing in midfield, Lazio star and long-time Arsenal target Lucas Biglia is being strongly linked with a £17.5m move to the Red Devils, despite the club already spending big on the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger this summer.

3) Pedro (Barcelona)

For a further £21m, Barcelona winger Pedro is surely about to complete a move to Old Trafford after weeks of strong speculation linking the Spanish World Cup winner with a move to the club as Angel Di Maria’s replacement.
