Manchester United eye SENSATIONAL £110m double Bayern Munich SWOOP

Manchester United are interested in a sensational swoop for two Bayern Munich stars this summer.

The Red Devils have already signed Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Sergio Romero, Bastian Schweinsteiger, and Morgan Schneiderlin this summer, but it seems that they aren’t done there. Louis van Gaal wants more reinforcements as they look to build on their fourth place finish in the Premier League last time round.

Firstly, United are keen on signing Thomas Muller, and are willing to make a £70 million bid for the World Cup winner. Moreover, they could offer the 25-year-old a contract worth £50 million over four years in order to tempt him in to going to Old Trafford [Daily Express].

With Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez the only senior strikers in the squad at the moment, van Gaal does look in need of a new forward before the transfer window slams shut. Muller could be the perfect man for the job, having scored 13 goals and assisted another 10 in just 32 Bundesliga appearances last season.

United have another move up their sleeves as well…

United are also interested in a move for Mario Gotze, who appears to have fallen out of favour at the Allianz Arena.

The 23-year-old has failed to make the impact expected of him since arriving from Borussia Dortmund two seasons ago, and could be allowed to leave if a bid of £40 million plus is received [Daily Express]. This is after a campaign in which he managed nine goals and two assists in 32 league matches.

Juventus and Arsenal are also interested in the Germany international though, which could complicate the situation. The youngster is also unique as he hasn’t worked with Louis van Gaal before. Schweinsteiger, who has already made the move to Old Trafford from Bayern, and Muller were both involved when the Dutchman was in charge of the club from 2009-11.
