Tottenham linked with massive £25m bid for explosive winger as Mauricio Pochettino looks to strengthen attack

Tottenham are set to launch a bid for Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie, according to the Daily Mirror.

White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino has spent most of the summer transfer window rooting out the deadwood from his Spurs squad, and moves to bring in new additions have been fairly reserved thus far.

The North London side have successfully found buyers for a host of under-performing players with Paulinho, Etienne Capoue, Benjamin Stambouli, Vlad Chiriches, Younes Kaboul, Lewis Holtby and Roberto Soldado having all left in recent weeks.

The Daily Mirror believe that an eye-watering £25m bid for the 26-year-old Congo international would be one that the Eagles would find hard to turn down, and the same source claims Bolasie is keen on a move to the North London club.

Pochettino saw Aaron Lennon, Erik Lamela and Andros Townsend consistently fail to impress last season, with the first of these three sent out on loan during the first portion of the campaign, and Bolasie could provide the Tottenham boss with a strong alternative to the trio.

Some sources claim that the Tottenham have received interest for Lamela (via Record), Lennon (via the Daily Express) and Townsend (via the Daily Mirror), the sales of whom would help to make room for the potential addition of Bolasie to Pochettino’s squad.
