West Brom INSIST Tottenham transfer target is going NOWHERE this summer

West Brom have reiterated their desire to keep hold of star striker Saido Berahino, following fresh speculation that fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are still hopeful of agreeing a deal before the transfer window closes next week.

The 22-year-old saw his written transfer request rejected by the Baggies earlier in the week, but ex-Spurs manager Harry Redknapp said he was confident that the England U21 international would complete a move to White Hart Lane before next week’s deadline.

However, West Brom have moved to reject talk of Berahino leaving the Hawthorns this summer and in an article on their official website, a statement has been released by chairman Jeremy Peace, who has once again warned the North London outfit against bidding for the player.

Berahino was left out of the starting XI for the clash against Chelsea last Sunday due to the constant transfer speculation regarding his future and looks poised to remain in the Midlands until January at least.
