Newcastle United vs Arsenal CONFIRMED team news: Koscielny returns, Giroud dropped, NO Ozil in squad

The team news for today’s lunchtime clash between Newcastle United and Arsenal in the Barclays Premier League has been released.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been boosted by the return of defender Laurent Koscielny, who missed the goalless draw against Liverpool on Monday night with a back injury.

However, the Frenchman will be without club record signing Mesut Ozil for the game as he is suffering from a minor knee injury and is left out of the squad completely.

Meanwhile the Magpies, who drew their opening game at St James’ Park against Southampton, make a host of changes to the side which held Manchester United to a goalless draw at Old Trafford last weekend as Daryl Janmaat is recalled and there is also a first league start for new signing Florian Thauvin.
