Five replacements Chelsea should sign after Branislav Ivanovic’s AWFUL form, including Man Utd target

Five right-backs for Chelsea to consider.

Chelsea right-back Branislav Ivanovic has endured a torrid start to the new season, and is now surely under threat as the Blues enter the final couple of days of the transfer window.

Clearly a weak point in the team, Ivanovic no longer looks good enough for Jose Mourinho’s side, with these five right-backs worth looking at with a late bid…

1) Seamus Coleman (Everton)

One of the best full-backs in the Premier League at the moment, Everton star Seamus Coleman has been linked several times with a move to Chelsea, as well as with other top clubs like Manchester United, PSG and Bayern Munich, and looks one of the best possible candidates to fill Ivanovic’s boots.

2) Gregory van der Wiel (PSG)

Another recent Chelsea target, PSG right-back Gregory van der Wiel is an experienced and attack-minded player who could be a great fit at Stamford Bridge and not too expensive.

3) Daniel Carvajal (Real Madrid)

A superb performer for Real Madrid, Daniel Carvajal may no longer be automatic first choice at the Bernabeu and would be a decent buy for Chelsea to solve that problem position.

4) Juanfran (Atletico Madrid)

Chelsea like raiding Atletico Madrid and could do well to move for the superbly solid Juanfran to replace Ivanovic at right-back, with the experienced Spaniard proving key to his side’s displays in recent times.

5) Santiago Arias (PSV)

An exciting young player catching the eye at PSV, Santiago Arias could be a wilcard option worth considering, with the 23-year-old Colombian looking ready to move to a bigger club and more competitive league.
