Best XI of Premier League 2015/16 summer transfers including Liverpool pair, Man United duo & Raheem Sterling

Premier League sides spent upwards of £800m on new additions, here is an XI of the best deals done over the summer.

Goalkeeper – Petr Cech (Chelsea to Arsenal)

Clearly the Czech Republic international hasn’t started that brightly but is sure to prove a very wise addition to the Gunners ranks.

Left-Back – Joe Gomez (Charlton Athletic to Liverpool)

18-year-old was superb during pre-season and Brendan Rodgers has shown faith in the teenager and kept him in ahead of Alberto Moreno.

Centre-Back – Virgil van Dijk (Celtic to Southampton)

Solid Dutchman is sure to provide a rock solid presence at the centre of Ronald Koeman’s defence.

during the Pre Season Friendly match between Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa at City Ground on August 1, 2015 in Nottingham, England.

Centre-Back – Micah Richards (Man City to Aston Villa)

Arrived as a free agent and is now Tim Sherwood’s captain and a player with the experience and ability to prove a superb signing.

Right-Back – Matteo Darmian (Torino to Man United)

Italian has proven a very smart purchase, the next Gary Neville perhaps?

Central Midfield – Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton to Man United)

Understated displays thus far, the Frenchman provides Louis van Gaal with a strong measured presence in the centre of the park.

Central Midfield – Yohan Cabaye (PSG to Crystal Palace)

Sensational acquisition from an Eagles side who are moving onwards and upwards.

Left-Wing – Andre Ayew (Marseille to Swansea City)

French born Ghana international has been superb since his free transfer to the Liberty Stadium, already has three goals to his name.

Attacking-Midfield – Raheem Sterling (Liverpool to Man City)

England man arrived after a long drawn out transfer saga but has already impressed at the Etihad Stadium.

Right-Wing – Pedro (Barcelona to Chelsea)

Spaniard will provide Jose Mourinho with a far more effective option out wide than the likes of Willian and Juan Cuadrado, and cost less also.

Striker – Christian Benteke (Aston Villa to Liverpool)

Didn’t come cheap but you can bank on the Belgian to bang in 20+ goals this term.
