Jose Mourinho & four more reasons why Chelsea WILL win the Premier League this season

Reigning Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea have made a poor start to the season and hopes of retaining their title have already been written off by many.

However, we have provided five reasons as to why the Blues can still be crowned champions of England again at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

1) Jose Mourinho

It’s difficult to imagine any team managed by the Portuguese legend to not be challenging for the league title towards the climax of a season.

Mourinho will no doubt work his magic on his squad and have them firing again very soon and is probably relishing the task of proving doubters wrong.

2) Key players WILL return to form

Much has been said about the likes of Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas, John Terry and Nemanja Matic since the season started and while they have all been below par, it’s unlikely they can continue to play so poorly for much longer.

3) Manchester City WILL have a blip

The Citizens have looked unstoppable at the beginning of the campaign and are many pundits favourites to win the league this season.

However, City are prone to slipping up against the so-called smaller teams in the division and a repeat of that again this year will open the door for Chelsea and they will almost certainly take full advantage.

4) Grinding out results when it matters

During their run to the title last season it was often highlighted as to how many times they were able to gain points without playing particularly well.

In the second half of a campaign where results mean more than style of football, expect the west London outfit to accumulate more points that most of their title rivals.

5) Experience

Most of the Chelsea squad won the league last season and new signing Pedro has been a serial winner with both Barcelona and the Spanish national team.

Experience of wining league title is crucial when it comes to getting over the line and the Blues have more of it in their squad in contrast to their title rivals including Arsenal and Manchester United.
