Man Utd transfer target Gareth Bale on life at Real Madrid under Rafael Benitez

Bernabeu ace speaks about change under new manager.

Real Madrid winger and Manchester United target Gareth Bale has spoken about feeling more involved at the club this season under new manager Rafael Benitez.

The Wales international had a difficult time at the Bernabeu last season, often finding himself booed by his own fans and seeming to have problems with team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, Bale now seems happier since Benitez took over, having been given a slightly more central role in the team.

“I feel like I am more involved this year now,” the 26-year-old is quoted in the Daily Star.

“The first year you are running off adrenaline from having just signed – you are so happy to be at the club and that drives you on.

“But in the second year I felt a little bit left out wide and not getting so much of the ball but now I feel involved in the play and I think that is showing in the games – that I am able to assist goals and score goals.”
