1) Wayne Rooney
Only now as Wayne Rooney scored his first Premier League goal of the season, and his performances have clearly not been good enough for some time. Manchester United must take the hard decision to let this club legend leave, with his presence certain to halt Anthony Martial’s progress and opportunities to start up front.

2) Victor Valdes
Not needed at United, Victor Valdes has fallen out with manager Louis van Gaal and seems likely to be on the move this winter, with Chelsea and Liverpool both mentioned as shock suitors for the veteran Spanish shot-stopper.
3) Antonio Valencia
No longer in the United first-team, Antonio Valencia has shown down the years that he is not a reliable enough performer for a club of this size, whether it’s in midfield or at right-back.
4) Phil Jones
Despite being regarded as a top young talent when he joined, Phil Jones has not done enough to show he should still be a regular for United and looks to be out of Van Gaal’s plans this term.
5) Nick Powell
Another player signed as a youngster who just hasn’t progressed at all, Nick Powell is out in the cold at Old Trafford and needs to be moved on in January, if anyone will take him.
