Chelsea transfers: 5 Blues players who aren’t good enough & suggested replacements, including Fabregas & Falcao

Chelsea transfers – 5 Blues players who need to be replaced, and who should replace them.

There could be some interesting Chelsea transfers this January after the Blues’ poor start to the season, and here’s a look at five first-teamers whose futures at the club are under threat, and a look at five potential signings who could replace them…

1) Cesc Fabregas

Not able to influence games like he used to, Cesc Fabregas had a poor second half of last season and simply hasn’t recovered. Chelsea now need to bring in a better central midfielder to partner Nemanja Matic.

Suggested replacement: Koke (Atletico Madrid)

2) John Terry

Superb for so much of last season, it now looks like being one year too many for John Terry at Chelsea, who has been unable to hit top form in defence this term.

Suggested replacement: John Stones (Everton)

3) Radamel Falcao

Once a great striker, Radamel Falcao is now making minimal impact on loan at Chelsea and needs to be sent back to AS Monaco as he clearly hasn’t recovered that pace and fitness that used to make him so dangerous after a lengthy time out injured in the 2013/14 season.

Suggested replacement: Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon)

4) Oscar

Not fulfilling the potential seen in him as a youngster, Oscar could certainly be upgraded on at Chelsea after a particularly slow start to this season.

Suggested replacement: Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)

5) Branislav Ivanovic

Despite being so important for Chelsea last season, Branislav Ivanovic now looks over the hill and unconfident and is fast becoming a liability for Jose Mourinho’s side, surely raising the possibility that he too could be sold this winter.

Suggested replacement: Daniel Carvajal (Real Madrid)
