Arsenal given green light to move for Diego Perotti as Genoa need £9.8m

Arsenal have been haven the go ahead to make a move for talented Genoa attacking midfielder Diego Perotti after being told that he has an asking price of just £9.8million, according to Italian publication Calciomercato.

The 27-year-old has caught the eye this season with a string of impressive performances, and The Gunners are keen to snap him up due to his ability to play across a variety of positions.

But the Calciomercato report claims that Arsenal may have some competition from Serie A giants Inter Milan, with a deal likely to go ahead due to Genoa’s dire financial position.

Wenger is keen to add more quality to his midfield positions as injuries have robbed them of the likes of Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain already this season.

Having joined Genoa in 2014, he has gone on to make 27 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.
