Manchester United alerted to Gareth Bale availability

Manchester United are set to renew their interest in Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale, with reports emerging that suggest the Welshman is available for transfer.

According to the Metro, the 26 year old’s dismal performance in the Madrid vs Barcelona clasico at the weekend was the final nail in the coffin for the Madrid fans, who are now demanding that president Florentino Perez should cash in on their £60 million asset.

Whether or not the incumbent boss will be willing to sell “one of his own” remains to be seem, but with rumours suggesting that Perez will be out at the end of the season anyway, Bale’s days appeared to be numbered.

The Metro quote a source as saying “There is no doubt that if Florentino Perez quits as president, Bale will be sold”.

There is also reportedly on-going tension between Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, with Madrid preferring to keep the Portugese player, despite the four-year age difference.
