Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia has suffered the indignity of having his payslip leaked online this week after someone managed to get hold of his details and upload them to Whatsapp.

But it was shown that the 28-year-old scoops an impressive £88,000-per-week, which equates to a stunning £4.6million a season.

This is not the first time a Bayern player has had their payment details leaked online, as Austrian international David Alaba also suffered a similar fate back in 2012.

German publication Bild is now reporting that police are now on the hunt for the person responsible for leaking the document, which is believed to have been stolen from the Moroccan international’s car.

Benatia, who was once a target for Manchester United, has been a regular for Bayern since making the move from Italian giants Roma in the summer of 2014, and has gone on to make 34 appearances for the side.
