Liverpool close in on £62m-rated Man United target Renato Sanches

Liverpool are believed to be the latest side taking a closer look at Benfica starlet Renato Sanches, according to SB Nation.

The 18-year-old has announced himself in spectacular fashion this season and has earned himself a series of high profile admirers who are all thought to be keeping tabs on him ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United are one of the clubs known to be considering a move for his signature, but new reports are now claiming Liverpool are ready to throw their hat into the ring, too.

However, recent reports have claimed that Benfica have been close to agreeing a deal with an unnamed big European club over his signature, but so far nothing has been agreed.

Sanches has a £62.3million release-clause installed in his contract, and Benfica won’t want to settle for anything less than that fee as the midfielder is set for a big future in the game.
