Ajax star Riechedly Bazoer has insisted that he is focused on helping the Dutch giants achieve success this season and isn’t thinking about interest from England.

The Dutchman has impressed so far this season and has already earned a call up to the senior national side as well as attracting interest from both Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, the Gunners are said to have missed out on the youngster three years ago, and it could come back to haunt them with their London rivals now also keen according to reports.

Nevertheless, it appears as though they will have to wait in order to sign him, as Bazoer insisted this week that he was happy in his current surroundings and had no intention of leaving.

“I am very happy at Ajax,” the Netherlands international told De Telegraaf.

“I am developing well here, the coach believes in me and I have a contract with the club until 2020. I am not thinking about other clubs yet. I am proud to have become an undisputed starter at Ajax, but I am going through a difficult period at the moment to be honest.

“I am working really hard in training in order to reach the level from the first half of the season again. I am not saying I have been in bad form, but I always demand more from myself.”

Bazoer has made 30 appearances in all competitions for Ajax this season, scoring four goals and has played an instrumental role in their pursuit of an Eredivisie title.
