BIG injury boost for Liverpool ahead of Europa League leg

Liverpool will need all of the help they can get if they hope to take down Borussia Dortmund – one of the highest-scoring clubs in football and one of the favourites to win the Europa League. Luckily, the team may have gotten a huge break with star winger Roberto Firmino expected to return from his injury.

According to the Metro, Firmino is expected to be eligible to return to the starting lineup when Liverpool take on Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday. The Brazilian winger traveled with the club to Germany ahead of their match and is expected to get a spot on Jurgen Klopp’s bench when they take on his former team. Firmino has been out of action since mid-March after sustaining a hamstring injury.

The start of 2016 was superb for Firmino, who recorded eight goals and four assists while earning Man of the Match honours four times. Unfortunately, he missed several weeks of action after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Man United due to an injury.
