Video: FA Cup Semifinals – Marouane Fellaini draws first blood against former club Everton

The last time Everton were in the FA Cup Final, Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini was their starter and a key player in their road to Wembley. This time though, if they fail to reach the Final it will also be because of the big-haired Belgian superstar.

Anthony Martial made the run to keep the ball out of the back, and kicked it right to the awaiting Fellaini, who easily tapped it in past the prone Joel Robles for the Man United lead.

Fellaini – who joined Manchester United in a transfer from Everton back in 2013 – scored the first goal of the FA Cup Semifinals midway through the first half during what had been an offensive struggle for both teams up until that point. The goal for Fellaini was also his first against his former club.

Romelu Lukaku had an early chance to put Everton out in front, but Wayne Rooney – of all people – served as the last line of defence and deflected the shot when David de Gea failed to pick off Lukaku.
