Shock Premier League club trying to sign Liverpool flop

Despite making an expensive move from Aston Villa to Liverpool this past summer, it has been a very disappointing year for striker Christian Benteke, who is on pace for his lowest goal total in five years. With just eight goals and two assists in 34 appearances for the Reds, he could be dumped by Jurgen Klopp in the summer. Luckily for the Belgian ace, he may not need to travel far as another Premier League team are ready to scoop him up.

According to Albion Express and Star, West Bromwich Albion have been linked with a move for Benteke amidst international interest for the 25-year-old striker. Benteke has been off the first-team squad since March and has not played a full 90 minutes in a BPL match since January.

West Brom striker Saido Berahino is unlikely to stay with the club, so manager Tony Pulis will probably be in the market for a superb striker.

Prior to his £32.5 million move to Liverpool, Benteke scored 42 goals in three seasons for Aston Villa, leading the club to the FA Cup Final in the 2014-15 season.
