Turkish giants plot move for Leicester City midfielder

Turkish giants Galatasaray are set to make a move for Leicester City midfielder Gokhan Inler according to Turkish sports newspaper AMK.

Per the source, the Lions have made an enquiry for the out of favour Leicester City midfielder as they continue efforts to strengthen their midfield.

The Istanbul giants have been linked with Inler over the past few seasons and feel they could sign him this summer considering he struggled for playing time over the last league campaign.

Inler played just 705 minutes of football last season making a total of 10 appearances and was dropped from the Switzerland national team as a result.

The 31-year-old midfielder has another two-years remaining on his contract but has received no assurances that he will move up the pecking order next season.

Despite being born in Switzerland, Inler would be able to play under domestic status in Turkey due to being of Turkish origin.

The Lions are also in talks with Liverpool over singing Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva.
