Chelsea’s social media team, perhaps hoping to distract fans from a series of terrible performances on the pitch, today posted a picture of the team with everyone smiling.
The blue skies in the photo match the Chelsea kits, but not the mood in the camp or in the comments, where plenty of Chelsea fans have had their say on the state of the London team’s squad.
“Delete Cahill and Ivanovic from the photo” roars bayandajele in the comments, a sentiment backed up by menlovee26, ilyassanugraha1933 and others.
“Whr is costa? Oh i frgt he is in MUSTAFI’S POCKET”, screeches messigician, somehow overlooking the fact that Costa is clearly visible in the front row of the photo.
Perhaps the most poignant comment comes from swanswarchief, who writes: “Compare to 2004/5, 2005/6 and 2009/10, then have a little cry”
Many Chelsea fans will sympathise.
