Man United transfer news: Red Devils outcast in talks with Chicago Fire

Manchester United’s out-of-favour midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is in talks with the MLS side Chicago Fire, according to The Mirror.

Schweinsteiger has failed to make a single appearance for the Red Devils since the appointment of Jose Mourinho in place of Louis van Gaal.

Per-the-source, the Germany international is looking for a move to the USA after being frozen out at Old Trafford and is in negotiations with Chicago Fire.

The Mirror goes onto state that Schweinsteiger met with Chicago Fire manager Veljko Paunovic last week.

Schweinsteiger has two-years left on his contract with United and will prove to be an expensive reserve player if the club cannot move him on.

Manchester United take on their biter rivals Arsenal in their next Premier League fixture this weekend. The Red Devils returned to winning ways last week following a 3-1 victory over Swansea City.

Meanwhile, Arsenal were held by Tottenham to a 1-1 draw.
