Sutton United prepare for historic clash in the most non-league way possible

Sutton United have taken steps to ensure they are not only prepared for the Arsenal clash on their plastic pitch, but off it too, report The Sun.

The non-league side are preparing for a historic clash with the Premier League heavyweights, and they are determined that their fans enjoy the occasion.

The Sun report that Sutton have ordered 6,000 extra pint glasses ahead of tonight’s game. The tabloid report that they have also ordered more beer, after their supporters drank the lot during their fourth round clash with Leeds United.

They note that Sutton had to order extra toilets and even go as far as building an extra stand to prepare for the arrival of the Gunners faithful. The Sun note that Sutton employ just three members of staff, and have subsequently relied on volunteers to prepare for tonight’s once in a lifetime clash.

Ordering extra beer to prepare for the arrival of one of Europe’s biggest names, it doesn’t get any more non-league than that.
