Chelsea handed major transfer boost as Real Madrid told to pay £53million for transfer

Real Madrid have reportedly been told it will cost them around £53million to seal the transfer of Paris Saint-Germain winger Goncalo Guedes.

According to Don Balon, Florentino Perez is keen on the Portugal international, who has shone on loan at Valencia from PSG this season after struggling for regular playing time at the Parc des Princes.

Given the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe ahead of him in the pecking order at PSG, it is little surprise to see Guedes moving on this season and possibly being available on a permanent transfer in the near future.

Real Madrid could do with strengthening in attack after some poor form from their front three this season, with none of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema or Gareth Bale hitting the heights expected of them.

Goncalo Guedes is attracting transfer interest from Real Madrid

While Diario Gol yesterday claimed Real were confident of signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea, it now looks as though Perez would prefer to move for Guedes instead.

Don Balon’s latest report claims Perez has informed manager Zinedine Zidane that he won’t be signing Hazard, so the French tactician may have to make do with the £53m Guedes instead.
