Chelsea had two of their Spanish stars to thank this evening, as the Blues beat minnows Brighton 2-0 to close the gap on second place Man United in the Premier League table.
The home side opened the scoring in the 46th minute after a cross from defender Cesar Azpilicueta found the head of Alvaro Morata, who nodded home to give his side the perfect start to the second half.
Antonio Conte’s side then doubled their lead 14 minutes later, as a corner from Cesc Fabregas found Marcos Alonso, who headed the ball into the goal to all but seal the win for Chelsea.
Defender Cesar Azpilicueta had a fantastic game this afternoon, with the player not only keeping a clean sheet, but also getting an assist, his sixth of the season, to help his side on their way to victory.
